The State Duma's relevant committee has approved a bill on fines for violating rules for keeping pets.

The initiative was submitted to the lower house of parliament back in December 2021 by members of the Moscow Regional Duma.

The State Construction Committee supported the decision to introduce fines for Russians who violate the rules for keeping pets, RIA Novosti reports.

The violation is classified under the administrative code. For individuals, it is proposed to introduce a fine of 500 to 1 thousand rubles. For individual entrepreneurs - from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles.

If there is a repeated violation, the fine will increase. For individuals in this case, it can be from 1.5 thousand to 3 thousand rubles. For entrepreneurs - from 5 thousand to 10 thousand rubles.

In addition, the State Duma previously proposed mandatory registration of all domestic animals.

However, parliamentarians recommend doing this systematically and without fines in the early stages.

Earlier, the State Duma called on Russians to use domestic analogues of YouTube.
