The Federation Council approved a law that concerns owners of summer cottages.
Russians were given 3 years to develop a plot of land purchased for a summer house.
The document is posted on the website of the legislative support system.
Now Russians have 36 months to improve the purchased plot, otherwise the land will be subject to inspection.
The law gives the government the right to establish signs of non-use of plots. This concerns land in populated areas, gardening and vegetable gardening associations.
The concept of “land development” is officially introduced.
This concept refers to a list of activities, after which the site becomes suitable for its intended use.
The list of these events will be compiled and approved by the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.
The law itself will come into effect next year. The measure will officially come into force on March 1.
