Serbia May Tighten Security Measures for Vucic Following Trump Assassination Attempt

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and former head of the national secret service Aleksandar Vulin has announced the need to strengthen security measures for Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic.

According to Vulin, he is extremely concerned about the assassination attempt on former White House chief Donald Trump.

The Serbian official noted: “I call on the responsible services of Serbia to address the issue of strengthening the security of our leader and his family,” as reported by TASS .

As the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic emphasized, pressure on Vucic in the press has increased recently.

Belgrade's position

According to Vulin, the opposition-minded public is demanding that the President of Serbia resign.

In addition, the official recalled the recent assassination attempt on the life of Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico and the death of former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi.

Vucic noted that all of these events raise a certain level of concern.

The deputy prime minister of the republic added: "I doubt that these tragic incidents are accidents. We must be vigilant."
