Now, to log into an account on the State Services portal, a sentence has been added that warns against giving the code to scammers.
The Department for Combating the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported this on its Telegram channel.
The State Services portal, as emphasized in the message, has made an important change to the SMS message with the code that comes when you log into your account.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the following caption has now appeared: “It (the code) is asked for ONLY by scammers.”
The change is apparently intended to warn citizens against fraudulent schemes.
Recently, the activity of fraudsters has increased sharply.
Fraudsters have mastered a new scheme for stealing funds from Russians’ accounts using the State Services portal.
