State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev announced the need to introduce a ban on the sale of energy drinks near schools and hospitals.
The official announced the corresponding initiative as part of the adoption of a decree banning the retail sale of energy drinks to minor citizens of the Russian Federation.
Khamzaev emphasized: “I am addressing my proposal to the heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In addition, the deputy stressed the need to ban the sale of energy drinks near colleges and universities.
Strict framework of the law
It is emphasized that the sale of energy drinks from March 2025 will be carried out exclusively in relation to adults.
The State Duma approved the corresponding law today, July 31.
It is emphasized that from now on, violation of the above prohibition will entail retaliatory punitive measures.
The State Duma indicated that it would determine responsibility for committing such an offense later.
