It turns out that the frequency of washing turtle houses depends on the size and age of the animal.

Thus, adult turtles 30 cm long need to have their terrarium cleaned once a month. For young animals up to 20 cm long, the terrarium needs to be washed twice a week, and for small ones – three times in 7 days.

The terrarium should be washed as follows:

1. Remove the turtle from the terrarium and move it to another container temporarily with the equipment that is important for its existence.

2. Remove the filter and heater from the dirty terrarium and pour out the water.

3. Rinse the stones and shells with tap water and replace the soil.

4. Wipe the walls of the terrarium with a solution of water and alcohol in a ratio of 1:10, then rinse with running water.
