A great alternative to a familiar dish: how to bake a charlotte with pears

Charlotte pie is a traditional Russian dish.

The baked goods are made from apples, which are traditionally abundant in the fall.

Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova will tell you how not to deprive yourself of a delicious dessert even if you don’t have apples.

Pear Charlotte Recipe

To prepare delicious baked goods you will need:

  • 300 grams of pears;
  • 3 chicken eggs;
  • 150 grams of flour and sugar;
  • a pinch of nutmeg, salt and powdered sugar.

Wash and dry the pears, remove the core, and cut into small slices.

Mix eggs, salt, sugar and nutmeg together in a bowl, beat with a mixer. Add sifted flour to the resulting mixture in small portions, mix the dough again until smooth.

Place parchment paper on the bottom of a baking dish, place the pears on it, and then pour the batter over everything.

The pie should be baked for 35-40 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees.

After you take the baked goods out of the oven, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
