Switching to a healthy diet improves well-being and increases life expectancy.

This was stated by an international group of nutritionists, public health specialists, and cardiovascular and metabolic disease experts.

Unhealthy diets cause tens of thousands of deaths in the 15-70 age group every year, according to a scientific article published in the journal Nature Food .

Scientists have found that a healthier diet can reduce the risk of early death.

A balanced diet has a positive effect on life expectancy, researchers say.

Scientists recommend including up to five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, whole grains, high-fiber carbohydrates, and low-fat, low-sugar dairy products in your diet.

The results of the study show that the expected effect of a complete and long-term transition from an unhealthy diet was 8.6 years for 40-year-old women and 8.9 years for 40-year-old men, and 4.4 years and 4 years for 70-year-old women and men, respectively.

The greatest positive effect was seen when eating more whole grains, nuts and fruits, and fewer sugary drinks and processed meats.

Previously, scientists discovered how coffee improves thinking and memory.
