It is noted that the optimal time for a pancake meal is morning.
According to Solntseva, the recipe for traditional pancakes is based on products such as milk and flour. These ingredients make the dish high in calories.
With this in mind, she recommended cutting down the number of pancakes to two, which are best eaten for breakfast.
The nutritionist added that it is better to use whole grain flour to make healthy pancakes. It is better to choose fish, low-fat sour cream, and meat as a filling.
In addition, she advised not to eat pancakes in the evening, especially for those people who want to get rid of extra pounds.
Maslenitsa will be celebrated for 7 days – from March 11 to 17.
