Recently, information has begun to spread on the Internet that oatmeal is actually not that healthy.

It is claimed that this dietary dish allegedly causes the development of “mold” in the intestines and contributes to hormonal disruptions.

These myths were dispelled by nutritionist Liza Afinskaya in her Telegram channel.

As the medical specialist emphasized, all the above-mentioned facts have no scientific basis.

At the same time, scientific research proves, on the contrary, that oatmeal is one of the most useful in terms of its properties.

Oatmeal has a beneficial effect on digestion, helping to maintain it, and also helps to lower blood sugar levels and fight bad cholesterol.

However, this does not apply to all types of products, but only to those cereals that have been practically unprocessed.

Whole grain oats or porridge that needs to be cooked for at least 20-30 minutes are best at reducing sugar levels, which cannot be said about instant porridges.

Express meals, on the contrary, can contribute to an increase in the glycemic index and do not bring the same benefits to the body as whole grain products.
