Doctor names reason why Chinese man's blood turns green

In a conversation with Izvestia, Demyanovskaya clarified that the man’s blood could have turned green due to surrogate alcohol.

She recalled that in the case of a man in China, his blood turned milky green due to frequent alcohol consumption.
Iron, contained in the protein hemoglobin, is responsible for the red color of blood. When the structure of the protein changes due to the sulfur atom, the blood can become deep green.
Demyanovskaya said that this happens due to taking large quantities of certain medications.
