Many Russians often have to work when everyone else is sleeping.
Such a schedule inevitably affects the state of the body, especially some of its systems.
In the Telegram channel of the Moscow Department of Health, Alexey Pitinov, a general practitioner at City Hospital No. 36, spoke about the consequences of night shifts.
Firstly, the central nervous system suffers, as the natural sleep cycle is disrupted. This leads to insomnia, chronic fatigue and impaired concentration.
The night schedule also affects immunity, since it is negatively affected by constant lack of sleep and a person is less able to resist diseases.
Working at night also disrupts the eating pattern, and a person often overeats at times when it is no longer worth eating. This often results in excess weight.
The doctor did not rule out problems with blood pressure and, as a consequence, cardiovascular diseases that can be acquired later.
