The most popular fruits among Russians are apples and pears.

Let's figure out how they differ from each other and which is healthier: an apple or a pear.

Which fruits to choose

Both apples and pears are fruits rich in vitamins and nutrients.

The first ones contain vitamins C, K and B. In addition, the fruit itself is 80% water, therefore, it helps to replenish the water balance.

Pears, in turn, are a source of antioxidants, in particular quercetin, which reduces the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Compared to apples, pears contain more protein and fiber.

This is why both fruits should be present in our diet.

For example, there are recipes that include both apples and pears as ingredients. A traditional Christmas compote is prepared from a combination of these dried fruits, designed to protect our bodies from holiday excesses.
