According to the doctor, the combination of anti-inflammatory drugs and coffee has a toxic effect on the kidneys.
Water, being a neutral environment, does not interfere with the absorption of drugs or reduce their properties.
Umnov explained that carbonated mineral water is not neutral in relation to medicines.
Mineral water contains many microelements that can come into contact with medications, changing their properties.
Juices are also among the drinks that can affect the properties of drugs and the activity of enzymes.
Umnov recalled that the same grapefruit, by blocking cytochromes in the liver, causes a disruption in drug metabolism, which can lead to death.
