How to prepare fruits

The fruits are washed thoroughly and peeled and seeded. Then the fruits are ground in a blender or meat grinder until puree.

Preparing the marmalade mass

In a large saucepan, combine the fruit puree, sugar, lemon juice and zest. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil, stirring regularly.

How to add gelatin

Gelatin is soaked in cold water for 5-10 minutes, then added to the hot fruit mass and thoroughly mixed until completely dissolved. This should be done with smooth movements.

Pouring and curing

The finished mass is poured into a form, previously covered with parchment paper, and leveled. Then the marmalade is left for several hours or, best of all, overnight in the refrigerator to harden.

How to cut and store

After hardening, the marmalade is cut into cubes or strips, and rolled in sugar if desired. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Important: homemade marmalade should not be stored for more than 2 weeks.

Making marmalade at home is very easy. And you can experiment with the main ingredients to achieve an excellent result.
