The company "Bulgargaz" filed a claim in international arbitration against "Gazprom".
Bulgaria is demanding 400 million euros (RUB 38.2 billion) from the Russian company through the courts.
The Bulgarian National Television reports on the lawsuit. The appeal to the court was sent on Monday, July 8, BNT clarifies.

The claim was received by the arbitration court of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
The justification states that Bulgargaz wants to seek compensation for the losses incurred. They were received in 2022 after the cessation of natural gas supplies.
The Russian company made this decision unilaterally, the authors of the claim emphasize.
It is also indicated that in May 2024, an attempt was made to settle the issue out of court.
To this end, Bulgargaz sent an invitation to Russia for a voluntary settlement of claims, in accordance with a bilateral contract.
In Bulgaria, they stated that Gazprom did not respond to this proposal in any way, so a decision was made to appeal to international arbitration.
Earlier it became known that Switzerland had expanded sanctions against Russia.
