The bed where the cucumbers grew requires special attention.
After all, these plants can “take” a lot of nutrients from the soil, and therefore it is imperative to restore it.
Agronomist Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained how to “cure” a garden bed after cucumbers.

How to restore fertility
It is advisable to restore the soil in the bed where the cucumbers grew. To do this, you can add fertilizers to the soil.
Three kilograms of compost or rotted manure will be required per square meter.
Green manures do a good job of improving the soil. Therefore, you can plant rapeseed, buckwheat, mustard or oilseed radish after cucumbers.
If the soil is acidic enough, you can add wood ash to it.
You need about a liter of this product per square meter. Then you need to dig up the soil.
Pest and disease control
It is recommended to treat the soil after cucumbers against diseases and pests.
For this, you can use garlic infusion. Add 500 grams of crushed garlic to three liters of water and leave for three days.
Then add ten liters of water. Two liters of such infusion will be needed per square meter of soil.
Some gardeners use a solution of potassium permanganate, an infusion of pine needles or wormwood for treatment.
