Lychee is a product that contains many useful substances, including vitamins and fiber.

However, despite its benefits, some categories of Russians should still refrain from eating it.

In a conversation with the portal life.ru, nutritionist Elena Solomatina told who should limit, or even completely exclude, lychee from their diet.

The fruit contains up to 80% of the daily requirement of vitamin C, as well as B vitamins, microelements and antioxidants. It is valuable for those who have problems with digestion, as it contains pectin and fiber.

However, all this becomes a disadvantage for those who suffer from pectin intolerance. Therefore, those who suffer from bloating and/or other gastrointestinal problems should not eat it.

Diabetics and patients with gout should also be wary of lychee, as the fruit contains sugar.

The nutritionist also reminded that exotic foods often cause allergic reactions, therefore, one should be careful with them and not overeat.
