What does a person think about when he hears the frightening expression "proper nutrition (PP)"?
The famous healthy eating plan, invented by bloggers, has already been imprinted in our heads and is causing fear in those who are losing weight.
By healthy eating, people mean a series of refusals and prohibitions: no sweets, fast food, sugar, alcohol, sandwiches and other tasty products, says fitness trainer Artem Opalnitsky.

Why should we give up these? Are they wrong? After all, they are made from the same ingredients as the "right" ones. So what is the difference?
The difference is that the “right” ones, in addition to the calories themselves, contain a greater amount of useful substances, while the harmful ones either have no benefit or are reduced to a minimum.
The most forbidden of all products is poor sugar. It hasn't done anything bad, it just contains calories and a share of vitamins.
Is it "bad" after that? At the same time, as a rule, "wrong" products carry indirect negative consequences in the form of increased cholesterol, blood pressure, increased caloric content, etc.
If you don't need to give up harmful products, is it possible to formulate the basic principles of nutrition? Of course. The term PP makes my clients shudder, so I try to use the more appropriate term of a balanced diet. I will list its basic principles:
1. Nutrition should be varied. Many people imagine PP as boiled chicken with rice or buckwheat. Our task is to create a diet that is balanced in all nutrients.
And you can create it if you include different products in your day. An interesting challenge to try 100 different products in 1 week? I think this is a very interesting gamification of the process. This will not only diversify your diet, but also allow you to explore yourself and your taste preferences.
2. Nutrition should be individual. Down with all the rules of eating after six, small meals and tasteless dishes. Food should bring not only benefits, but also joy. If you like chocolate, then allow yourself to have it. Sometimes you drink a glass of wine - and there are no problems. Any food can be included in your personal diet.
3. Maintain energy balance. In order not to go on a diet, you need to understand your calorie norm. This is the amount of energy at which you remain at the same weight.
If we need to lose weight, we create a calorie deficit. To gain muscle mass, we increase the calorie content. It's simple. The norm can be found in any calorie calculator, this is no longer a secret for anyone.
These simple principles will always allow you to find a ray of light in a dark world filled with various myths and misconceptions about healthy eating. What principles do you adhere to?
