Skin care is not just a woman's business!
In the modern world, men have finally realized the importance of proper skin care.
Today, together with dermatologist Nailya Shigapova, we will look at the main areas of men's skin care, as well as understand the choice of products and ways to combat common problems.

Before choosing skin care, you need to understand what type of skin it is. There are four types of skin:
1. Normal skin: with an ideal balance of sebum and moisture, this type is everyone's dream, but it is the rarest.
2. Dry skin: sensitive, often dull and flaky.
3. Oily skin: enlarged pores, oily shine, frequent acne.
4. Combination skin: a combination of oily skin in the T-zone and dry areas on the cheeks, with characteristic flaking.
After determining the skin type, you can begin care. The first step is always cleansing. Foams and gels with AHA/BHA acids are suitable for oily skin. Once a week, such skin should be cleansed with enzyme powder.
Dry skin will benefit from creamy milk-like products to avoid overdrying the skin. You need to wash your face twice a day: morning and evening.
Oddly enough, but many men are convinced that only women use creams, this is not true! Moisturizing is a very important step, especially for oily skin! Mattifying creams will help here, and for dry skin, choose a cream with hyaluronic acid and oils.
Sun protection. This step should not be neglected, because the sun can provoke an increase in inflammation in acne and peeling in dry skin. If you do not want to apply additional products to the skin, choose a moisturizer with SPF.
The most common skin problems in men:
- Acne. Use products with salicylic acid. There are products for the face in the form of gels and foams, and for the body in the form of shower gels - if this problem extends to the back and / or chest.
- Irritation after shaving. Choose a quality razor, change the blade often and do not rinse the razor in hot water, this will make the blade wear out faster. After shaving, use soothing lotions and balms. And a face wash with acids will prevent ingrown hairs.
- Hyperpigmentation. Products with niacinamide and vitamin C will help with pigment spots.
Skin care is not a detractor from your masculinity, but a necessity. Following simple tips on cleansing, moisturizing, and nourishing your skin will greatly improve the appearance and condition of your skin.
