In 2024, Moscow doctors will double the number of joint replacement surgeries. TASS reports the details, citing Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakova.
It is noted that new technologies are currently being actively used in the treatment of diseases.
According to Rakova, specialists will perform endoprosthetic operations on large joints. They will be more accessible to people.
She noted that the number of such operations will increase significantly in 2024.
In addition, joint replacement may be the only treatment option for some people. The surgery gives the patient the opportunity to improve their quality of life, get rid of pain, and improve their health.
It is added that now Moscow residents can receive rapid treatment in case of a hip fracture. Such operations are carried out in a number of institutions, including City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov, City Clinical Hospital named after S.P. Botkin.
