An expert told where to install a router to have uninterrupted access to the Internet from any room.
IT expert, head of the Wi-Fi department of the company "Dom.ru" Vyacheslav Burkhaylo shared a comment on this topic.
The best place for a router is the center of the apartment, the expert said in an interview with Sputnik radio.
Only in this way will the signal be evenly distributed throughout the entire area of the home. The signal will be excellent in any room, which will ensure stable Internet access.
There is one universal rule: there should be no more than two walls between the router and the device for accessing the Internet.
Otherwise, the signal will be weaker, which will cause web pages to load more slowly or the Internet connection to be constantly interrupted. If the apartment is large, it makes sense to think about a Wi-Fi signal amplifier.
In addition, it should be remembered that the router should not be hidden in cabinets and niches. There should be no large metal objects, mirrors, or heating devices nearby. All these elements can also worsen the signal quality.
The router is placed in the center of the apartment, approximately in the middle of the wall. If it is installed too high or too close to the floor, this also reduces the signal quality.
