Medical specialists from the Moscow region have given a patient a booster shot after she was bitten by a monkey. The Moscow Agency reports the details, citing the press service of the regional health ministry.

It is noted that during her vacation, the 27-year-old tourist decided to take a photo with a monkey, but the animal bit the woman.

It is also known that immediately after the incident, the patient was taken to a local medical facility. There, she received the necessary assistance, including a vaccine. In addition, she received information about the importance of revaccination.

According to the press service, rabies can be transmitted to humans through animal bites. This disease is dangerous because it can lead to death.

They also noted that upon returning home, the traveler went to a hospital near Moscow, where she was given several injections.
