Two types of okroshka are common among Russians: with kefir and with kvass.
It's time to figure out which one is more useful and why.
Let's start with the fact that everyone first seasons a traditional Russian dish with the drink they like best.
However, if we consider the benefits of okroshka with kefir or kvass, there are some nuances.
The thing is that traditionally okroshka is prepared with homemade kvass. And it, in turn, does not contain any additives, unlike store-bought.
For example, sugar is often added to kvass, which we can find on sale, which makes it high in calories and less healthy. And this, in turn, is contraindicated for diabetics and overweight people.
Kefir, even store-bought, is distinguished by the presence of bacteria useful for digestion. In addition, it is very refreshing in the heat, therefore, it is a perfect product for the summer table.
