As researchers have discovered, the substances that color the skin of pepper fruits in bright red, yellow and orange shades are beneficial for humans.
Experts explained: “We are talking about carotenoids. They, in turn, strengthen the body, making it resistant to various diseases,” as Sports.kz reports.
It is emphasized that in order to strengthen the immune system, one should eat bell peppers two to three times a week.
In addition, according to scientists, patients suffering from respiratory diseases should pay close attention to pepper.
Such diseases include asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
