Not all types of sea fish are equally beneficial, especially when it comes to the vulnerable bodies of older people.
That is why, in old age, it is better to choose products that will not cause harm.
This warning was issued to Russians by nutritionist and doctor of medical sciences Mariyat Mukhina in an interview with the publication Moscow 24.

Let us remember that some types of fish, in particular pangasius and tuna, accumulate heavy metals and mercury.
Therefore, the expert advised older people choosing fish to opt for hake, pollock and cod.
One of the key benefits of all three types of fish is that they are rich in iodine. For older people who live far from the sea, an additional source of this microelement is simply necessary.
In addition, fish contains polyunsaturated acids and protein, which is an important building material for the body.
Mukhina also reminded that all the above-mentioned types of fish are budget-friendly and will not hit a pensioner’s pocket.
