It is noted that cigarettes reduce the release of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, so a person does not feel intense hunger.

According to Lazurenko, when a person gives up cigarettes, his hunger increases. As a result, he begins to eat actively and gain weight.

She noted that smoking has a negative effect on sex hormones. For example, women who smoke age faster, and men experience a decrease in libido.

To solve the problem, the doctor recommended working with your body and asking yourself the question: what do I want to cover with a cigarette?

She added that the fight against smoking is a complex and slow process that requires work from a person.
