Regular consumption of garlic may help lower blood sugar levels, according to new research.
Scientists conducted an experiment in which they divided participants into two groups.
One group took two garlic tablets containing 400 mg of dry garlic powder three times a day. Other participants took vitamin B1 tablets, writes the British newspaper Express .

Both groups followed the same diet and exercise routine.
After three months, the group that consumed garlic showed lower blood sugar levels than the group that consumed the garlic.
In addition, participants in the first group experienced a decrease in gel-like hemoglobin.
Benefits of garlic

Chemical compounds in garlic help slow down the breakdown of insulin and reduce blood sugar levels.
