Many lovers of cottage cheese often ask themselves which product is healthier: soft or grainy?

At first glance, it may seem that there are practically no differences between these types of cottage cheese, but is this really true?

Nutritionist and candidate of chemical sciences Anastasia Shalyapina gave a detailed answer to the above question in a conversation with the portal sb.by.

The expert revealed the advantages and disadvantages of both products.

What is important to remember

So, according to Shalyapina, soft cottage cheese has a creamy consistency and is much more pleasant to taste.

The disadvantages of this product include high fat content and low protein content.

Cottage cheese, in turn, is a good source of protein, it can be fat-free or low-fat, which makes it a universal product.

However, cottage cheese often contains salt or sweet additives, and it is also more expensive than soft cottage cheese.

Shalyapina summed up: “You should choose one or another type of cottage cheese based on your personal preferences and indications.”
