The doctor explained which three actions lead to poor sleep at night.

Pulmonologist-somnologist Dmitry Duikin shared a comment on this topic.

In a conversation with Moscow 24 , the expert named three actions that should not be done before bed. Otherwise, the quality of the night's rest will be reduced.

You should not eat before bed. The last meal should be 3-4 hours before. A light snack is acceptable 1-2 hours before bed.

In this case, the doctor recommends eating foods that contain tryptophan (oatmeal cookies, banana, kefir). This substance stimulates the production of melatonin (sleep hormone).

It is not recommended to do sports before bed. Light physical activity is allowed a couple of hours before bed. Jogging is done 3-4 hours before a night's rest.

The quality of sleep is affected by what a person reads or watches before going to bed. The doctor advises to exclude films with elements of violence and reading disturbing news 2-3 hours before going to bed.

Instead, it is better to take a bath, turn on relaxing music or do an aromatherapy session, read something positive or calm.
