Nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg named foods that Russians over 60 years of age should avoid.
Revising your diet can help reduce the risk of stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.
In a conversation with Moscow 24 , Ginzburg advised older people to give up alcohol and red meat, sausages, and hot dogs.

Alcohol is harmful to the heart and blood vessels, and salty foods can accelerate the progression of hypertension. And this is fraught with a stroke, the doctor warned.
In addition, elderly Russians should eliminate products containing trans fats from their diet. These include, for example, chips.
Also, certain risks associated with diabetes come from sweets (candies, cakes, ice cream, jam, etc.).
For older adults, these products are much more harmful and increase the likelihood of developing diabetes.
But the body also needs sugar. It is better to get it from fruits and dried fruits, the nutritionist advised.
