Oatmeal is synonymous with morning and a good option for a quick breakfast.

It is cooked in milk or water, in a multicooker or saucepan. You can simply pour boiling water over the porridge overnight, and in the morning you will have a ready-made dish for breakfast.

Some people like classic porridge, while others like to add additional ingredients to the dish. For example, strawberries, cinnamon or apples.

But there are a number of products that are better not to add to oatmeal, says chef Yulia Arkhipova , an expert at the online publication TUT NOVOSTI.

Sugar and chocolate

Sugar is a very bad option for those who want to lose weight. You won’t be able to lose weight, because after such a dish, after a short period of time, you will want to eat even more.

For the same reason, you shouldn't add chocolate to your oatmeal.

You can't cheat by using artificial sweeteners. They are also on the "red" list.

Dried fruits

These are the products that are on the border between healthy and unhealthy. It all depends on how much dried fruit is consumed.

Compared to fresh fruits, dried fruits have a high concentration of sugar and calories.

It is better to add fresh fruits or berries to oatmeal. Healthy options also include seeds, nuts, peanut butter.

Milk

It is better to cook oatmeal in water. Milk is broken down in the body by lactose, but not all people have a lot of it. As a result, milk is poorly digested, and this negatively affects the intestinal microflora.

Previously, we talked about products that cannot be combined with buckwheat.
